Mel Ristau, turned his attention to suspended kinetic sculpture in 2003 and has installed over 20 monumental sculptures in corporate, healthcare and university facilities—works of a voice and character that uplift and reflect the positive aspects of human vision. His most recent sculptures include early integration and post construction installations for

In 1993 Ristau co-founded Austin Texas based MediaGarden, Inc., to design and promote constructivist educational processes. He holds an MFA in design from
The University of Kansas School of Fine Arts (summa cum laude) and has been exhibited in the U.S., Europe and Japan. A native of the Louisiana Gulf Coast, Ristau lived in Texas for nearly two decades before settling in Colorado in 2001.
